01. John Lawrence ^[1] was born on Jan 12, 1561 in St. Albans, Hertfordshire, England.  He had 2 wives: Margaret Robertes and Elizabeth Bull (daughter of Richard Bull and Alice Hunt).  He died on June 24, 1609 in Hertfordshire.

Note: "Explicit evidence has not been found proving that the Thomas Lawrence who was the son of John and Elizabeth (Bull) Lawrence was identical with the Thomas Lawrence who married Joan Antrobus in 1609 and who was certainly the father of the immigrants. John and Elizabeth's son was certainly living in 1610 when he was mentioned in his father's estate records, and considerable search has revealed no other Thomas Lawrence in St. Albans and vicinity who could have married Joan Antrobus." Note: As of 2003 David Greene reports that "it is nearly certain that the John Lawrence who m. Elizabeth Bull was NOT a son of William and Katherine (Beaumont) Lawrence (source was removed). 

02. Thomas Lawrence, ^[1] son of John and Elizabeth was born abt. 1588 in St. Albans, Hertfordshire, England. On October 23, 1609 he married Joan Antrobus, daughter of Walter Antrobus and Jane Arnold.  Thomas died on March 20, 1624 in St. Albans.  Joan remarried to John Tuttle probably in 1627 and along with her Lawrence and Tuttle children, came to New England on the "Planter" landing in June, 1635.  She died in 1659 in Massachusetts.

03. Marie Lawrence, ^[1] daughter of Thomas and Joan was born on April 10, 1625 in St. Albans, Hertfordshire, England.  In June, 1645 in Ipswich, MA she married Thomas Burnham, son of Robert Burnham and Mary Andrews.  Marie died on March 27, 1715 in Ipswich, MA.  I descend from their daughter Mary Burnham who married John Clark.
