marriage at this time but it is supported by a significant number of DNA
matches and the 2 oldest children would have been born before his marriage
to his second wife. Note that their 2 children Sarah and Jane are NOT
listed in the 8/13/1842
will of James Gillespie in which he divides the balance of his estate
"among the whole of my beloved children."
However,
this site suggests there may be issues with estate planning in general
with blended families and that may help explain why the children from the
first marriage were left out. James and his first wife Elizabeth had the
