GENERATION 1
Jasper Hood (aka Jaspar Jans Hoed) was born abt. 1670 in Kingston, New York.  He married Tryntje Luijkas (aka Cathrina Andries) Jan 7, 1696 in NY.  She is the daughter of Lucas Andrieszen and Aefje Laurens and was born in Jul 1673 and died abt. 1713.  Jasper died abt. Jun 7, 1740 in NY.
GENERATION 2
Lucas Hood (aka Luykas Hoed) was born on Oct 2, 1708 in New York, NY. He married Johanna van Stockholm in 1742 in Readington, Somerset Co., NJ. Lucas died abt. Apr 1771 in Berkeley Co., VA.  Johanna died in 1770.

Aaron Hood, Sr., son of Lucas Hood and Johannah van Stockholm was born on Aug 31, 1742 in Hunterdon, British Colony of NJ.  He married Polly Scott abt. 1763.   She was born in 1742 and died in 1832.  Aaron died in 1791 in Wilkes Co., NC.

NOTE
The connection of Lucinda to the generations above are speculative at this time.  The Book "Our Cruze Ancestors" by Elmer Houser states that Lucinda was the sister of Aaron Hood, the progenitor of most of the Hoods in East Tennessee.  Aaron's father is presumed to be Aaron Hood, Sr. (generation #2)  I'm still looking for more documentation to help prove the connection of Lucinda to the earlier Hood line.  I also have 7 DNA matches at this time from Lucas' descendants that also have connections to my Crews matches.
GENERATION 3

Lucinda Hood, daughter of Aaron and Polly was born in 1759 in Buckingham Co., VA.  She married James Madison Crews (1758-1841).  Lucinda died on Aug 22, 1838.  I descend from their son Ellison Crews who married Sarah Gillespie.  Visit the Crews surname page for continuation of this line.
