GENERATION 1

Daniel Devore was born in abt. 1660 in Aisne, Picardie, France.  The Devore family were French Huguenots and were fleeing the Spanish Netherlands and the Franco-Spanish War. Something happened to separate brothers Nicholas and Daniel from the rest of the family and forced them to flee from Manheim, Palatinate of the Rhine, to England. [1] Both brothers immigrated to New York in 1674 [1]. On April 22, 1686 he married 1st wife Jannetje "Hannah" Frans (1660-1692).  They had 2 children, Metje (Martha) and Carel. [1] On February 28, 1692 Daniel married his 2nd wife Engeltje "Angelica" Cornelus (1669-1772), daughter of Cornelis Janszen and Mettje Bastiaens. [1] [2]  They had 10 children between 1696 and 1713.  Daniel died before Oct 11, 1729 in Hunterdon Co., NJ where his will was probated. GENERATION 2

Devore DNA
