James Smith was born on Jul 18, 1637 in Watertown, MA and died on Dec 23, 1700 in MA.  He married Hannah Goodenow (1657-1691).

GENERATION 2

James Smith, Jr,. son of James and Hannah was born on Dec 16, 1680 in Sudbury, MA and died in 1732 in NY. He married Mary Atherton (1688-1743).

GENERATION 3

Azariah Smith, son of James and Mary was bornon May 20, 1717 in Coventry, CT and died on Oct 17, 1784 in Amenia, NY. He married Mary Doggett (1720-1784).

GENERATION 4

David Smith, son of Azariah and Mary was born on Dec 10, 1753 in Dutchess Co., NYand died on May 4, 1831 in Wayne Co., NY. He was a Revolutionary War soldier.  He married Mary Tyron (1760-1832) in 1780. They had 8 children:
