This is a very interesting site. I was hoping to connect my Dorcas Furnas (Furnace) b. 1830 in Piqua, Miami Co., Ohio but didn't find her listed. I thought through elimination of 1830-1850 Miami Co US census to find her name. I had possible father's reduced to Joseph Furnas (Furnace), b. 1810 or Cary Furnas (Furnace) b. 1804. I thought that Joseph Furnas (Furnace) might be my missing father to Dorcas as he had a daughter named Permelia which is a first name which has followed down Dorcas' line down to my grandmother. If you have any suggestions for me, I would appreciate your help!!!

Hi, I too appear to be a descendant of Richard Dana and Ann Bullard. Their daughter Hannah, and her daughter Hannah Oldham (who married Amos Gates) are my grandmothers 11 and 12 generations back. Birth and baptismal records in England are usually very good and I have traced another line back 20 generations.
