| Irene was born in Portales, Territory of New Mexico. She moved with her family as a young girl to Salem, Oregon. She Grew up in Salem and Corvallis. After Graduating nursing school in Eugene, she married at 20 to William Marshall and had 2 children which were raised in Oregon and Washington. She Retired to Salem Oregon in the 1974 with her husband. William died of cancer in 1981. She stayed in Salem until a brain aneurysm and stroke in 1985 required her to move to a nursing home. She later moved to a home in Clarkston, Washington near her daughter, Janet. She died in 1992 at the age of 84. | |
